An emergency warning has been issued for a grass fireplace burning uncontrolled on Kangaroo Island underneath extreme climate circumstances.
The South Australian Nation Fireplace Service (CFS) issued the warning for the fireplace burning close to Harriet Street at Newland, saying the blaze is threatening property.
The CFS says the out-of-control shrub and crop fireplace is shifting in a south easterly route in the direction of the East West Two Freeway north of Vivonne Bay.
They advise folks within the space to behave now and go away whether it is protected to take action as circumstances are constantly altering.
The fireplace is being fanned by scorching and dry winds and aerial bombers have been deployed to the realm to assist combat the fireplace.
The blaze has burned by about 40 hectares, based on the CFS.
