South Korean star Yunho of TVXQ fame – the boyband had topped the charts in Asia within the early 2000s – is beneath investigation for violating secure distancing measures.
The 35-year-old singer-actor had allegedly remained with three pals in a restaurant within the Gangnam space till midnight in late February, although Covid-19 laws in Seoul solely allowed eating places to function till 10pm.
After it was reported on Tuesday (Mar 9) that he was beneath investigation, he posted an apology on Instagram the following day.
“I’m very sorry to the healthcare employees who’re working laborious and coping with a tough state of affairs as a consequence of Covid-19 and to everybody who has been going by way of tough and tiring days,” he wrote.
“I’m very ashamed and offended with myself for being unable to abide by the enterprise hour restrictions when assembly with my pals and spending time speaking with them, and many individuals should even be offended and upset by my wrongdoing.”
TVXQ, which started in 2003 as a quintet, is now a duo, with the opposite member being Max Changmin. The opposite three members break up off after contractual disputes in 2009.
