Hyderabad: A person, who was caught by police for drink-driving, created a stir by climbing up a transmission tower and threatening to commit suicide.
The incident occurred in Shahabad city in Karnataka bordering Telangana.
Police Inspector of Shahabad D Ashok instructed the media that 35-year-old Naresh climbed the tower and walked on the high-tension wire.
“Nonetheless he was not harmed because the tower was below building and there was no electrical energy. If the strains have been purposeful he can be burnt utterly”, Ashok stated.
Police introduced him down promising that his motorbike can be returned to him. Police had seized the car as he was driving drunk.
Later police booked a legal case towards him for making an attempt suicide.
