Actor Mark Hamill is praising employees at Bookmans Leisure Alternate in Flagstaff for returning the “Star Wars: A New Hope” soundtrack that had been a present from movie composer John Williams.
Hamill stated in a tweet Saturday that it felt “completely surprising & positively surreal” to get again the file he hadn’t seen for the reason that early 1990s. He counseled the shop about 145 miles (233 kilometers) north of Phoenix for being trustworthy and never promoting it.
“I fortunately supplied to signal any (”Star Wars”) objects they despatched me,” the actor wrote.
Williams had written on the vinyl’s sleeve: “Pricey Mark Hamill, Might the drive all the time be with us.”
The file was certainly one of quite a few “Star Wars” objects introduced in by a girl after her father’s dying in 2018, the Arizona Day by day Solar reported. Staff on the Arizona-based chain that sells used books, motion pictures and CDs tried to confirm the signature.
Micheil Salmons, the shop’s common supervisor, stated they finally tried reaching out to Hamill through social media. The actor confirmed it was real, and the vinyl was despatched again to him.
Salmons stated Hamill signed a DVD of “Star Wars: A New Hope” and two medals which are replicas of these given to his character and Han Solo, performed by Harrison Ford, within the movie.
